One-Foot-Long Leg: The Fall of the Great Empire

In the heart of the ancient empire known as the "One-Foot-Long Leg" Empire, there was a unique symbol of power that none could rival—a golden leg, no longer than a foot in length. It was said that this leg, crafted from the purest gold and adorned with intricate carvings, was the very foundation of the empire's might. The empire, vast and sprawling, was divided into three regions: the Eastern Reach, the Western Expanse, and the Southern Plains. Each region had its own leaders, but all deferred to the one who held the golden leg. This balance of power, however, was delicate and often tested.

Feng, moved by Hua's words, agrees to hand over the leg to Yu, who promises to rule with fairness and equality. The empire, now free from the grip of the one-foot-long leg, begins to rebuild, guided by the principles of unity and shared power.

The story ends with a reflection on the nature of power and the importance of balance. The one-foot-long leg, once a symbol of absolute power, is now a reminder of the futility of seeking control at any cost.
